In the first part of the course "Fundamentals of Fluid Power" the students will be introduced to the field of hydraulics and in the second part to the field of pneumatics.

In this lecture students will learn to understand the fundamentals of fluid power systems.

The fundamentals of hydrostatics and hydrodynamics are presented in order to calculate flow relationships, flow forces, inductances and capacities as well as the transmission behavior of pipes.In pneumatics, the theoretical basics are discussed in order to clarify questions about flow relationships for different types of resistance. The students will be able to calculate, design and arrange components for simple applications. Fluids can be named and distinguished according to their properties and applications.
