Vorwort

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

im Namen des Organisationskomitees der 9. IFK freuen wir uns, dass Sie sich für die diesjährige Internationale Fluidtechnik-Konferenz entschieden haben. Herzlich willkommen in Aachen!

Die IFK, eine der weltweit größten wissenschaftlichen Konferenzen zur Fluidtechnik, führt Wissenschaftler und Industrie in einem internationalen Forum zum Wissensaustausch auf dem Gebiet der hydraulischen und pneumatischen Antriebs- und Steuerungstechnik zusammen. Die erste Tagung fand 1974 in Aachen statt. Seit 1998 veranstalten das Institut für fluidtechnische Antriebe und Steuerungen (IFAS) der RWTH Aachen und das Institut für Fluidtechnik (IFD) der TU Dresden die Tagung im zweijährigen Wechsel.

In diesem Jahr sind 141 wissenschaftliche Beiträge, Referenten und Teilnehmer aus 26 Ländern angemeldet. Eine Besonderheit der 9. IFK ist der integrierte Digital Fluid Power Workshop (DFP) am Montag. Um eine hohe Qualität der wissenschaftlichen Beiträge zu gewährleisten, hatten die Autoren der diesjährigen wissenschaftlichen Beiträge die Möglichkeit, ihre Arbeiten von einem Gremium renommierter Wissenschaftler begutachten zu lassen. Neben dem wissenschaftlichen Programm bietet eine Ausstellung von 36 verschiedenen Firmen die Möglichkeit, neue fluidtechnische Produkte zu entdecken.

Das Programm beginnt am Montagmorgen mit einem Symposium, bei dem Forscher vor allem aus Universitäten und anderen Forschungseinrichtungen die Möglichkeit haben, ihre Forschungsprojekte einer breiten internationalen Gemeinschaft von Wissenschaftlern vorzustellen. Am Abend des ersten Tages sind alle Teilnehmer zur Eröffnungsveranstaltung eingeladen, die den Startschuss für die Ausstellung gibt. Der zweite Tag beginnt mit der Eröffnungsrede, gefolgt von drei Plenarvorträgen. Am Dienstag und Mittwoch gibt es sieben Gruppen von drei parallelen Sitzungen mit Vorträgen, die eine breite Palette von anwendungs- und technologieorientierten Themen abdecken. Am Abend des zweiten Tages findet das Konferenzbankett im Krönungssaal des Aachener Rathauses statt. Im Anschluss an das Bankett findet eine After-Show-Party mit kühlen Getränken und Snacks in der Aula Carolina statt.

Die Konferenz endet mit zwei Abschlussvorträgen und der Abschiedsrede am Mittwochnachmittag, gefolgt von der Laborparty im IFAS. Während der Konferenz bietet das Kulturprogramm die Möglichkeit, die antike Umgebung Aachens zu erkunden und die Exkursion im Anschluss an die Konferenz am Donnerstag und Freitag lädt dazu ein, mehr über mehr über Industrieunternehmen zu erfahren.

Abschließend möchten wir uns bei allen Mitgliedern des Programm- und Organisationskomitees, des wissenschaftlichen Beirats, den Plenar- und Keynote-Speakern, Referenten, Gutachtern, Vorsitzenden und Ausstellern für ihre Zeit und ihr Engagement bedanken, die dazu beigetragen haben, eine weitere erfolgreiche und lohnende Konferenz durchzuführen, und wir hoffen, dass Sie den 9.
