Conference Program
On the first evening of the conference, the participants were invited to an informal hall party in the ifas experimental hall. In this context, the renaming of the two test halls after the former institute directors Wolfgang Backé and Hubertus Murrenhoff was solemnly announced, corresponding to the development phase of the respective buildings.
The second day of the conference was followed by a get-together at the Eurogress. In the round of the assembled fluid power community, Mr. Peter Michael Synek (among others former deputy managing director of the Fluid Power Association and the Fluid Power Research Fund in the VDMA) was awarded a lifetime honorary membership of the Fördervereinigung Fluditechnik e.V. as a token of appreciation for his commitment to the fluid power industry and the dialogue between industry and science.
The third and final day of the colloquium concluded with the presentation of the GFPS (Global Fluid Power Society) Best Paper Award. The international selection committee chose the paper by Niklas Bauer from ifas at RWTH Aachen University on elastohydrodynamic seal simulation, which was written in cooperation with the IMA in Stuttgart.
