PUB – Hydraulic multi-pressure systems for mobile machinery with electric drives
A publication on the subject of "Hydraulic multi-pressure systems for mobile machines with electric drives" was published as part of the 8th specialist conference on hybrid and energy-efficient drives for mobile machines in Karlsruhe.
Electric drives are increasingly being used in construction machinery. However, the current hydraulic drive systems make implementation difficult because the advantages of electric drives such as recuperation and power sharing cannot be fully utilised. Multi-pressure systems offer a solution. These systems have been extensively investigated in the past for diesel drives, but also offer potential for the use of electric drives. This paper discusses the possible use of multi-pressure systems in electrically driven construction machinery and looks at how such a system can be implemented in practice. For this purpose, the design of a controller and the simulative implementation of the concept are presented.
